gym and swim

listening to wu ke qun - wu ke qun

lectures ended early today.. yipeEEEeeEEee..

some interesting things in my otherwise mundane life today..

we were sitting outside the pharmacology LT eating our lunch happily when yeek teck noticed that the door next to the LT was opened.. he had this disgusted look on his face..

we peered into the room.. and we saw a lady in the process of dissecting mice.. its not any mice thats usually seen in the lab..

the mice are god damn big!!! its more than twice the size of the mice that we dissected at ngee ann sometime ago..

freaking big mice..

somehow we could still enjoy our meal after the scene.. i guess we're immune to these gross stuff already..

another interesting thing today was that we had a lecturer who speaks like he was reading off a page of tongue twisters the entire time.. man hes really fast..

hespeakslikethiswithnopauseforfullstopsandcommasinbetween.

i was feeling dizzy after the lecture cause i was suppressing my laughter the entire time..

i dont know why.. but i have the crazy urge to laugh whenever i see the word POCT.

its supposed to stand for Point Of Care Testing.. which means testing the blood parameters by the patient's bedside..

but to me... POCT (its pronounced as P O C T, alphabets read out individually) is just so farny..

because.. i keep imagining it as "pork" testing..

dont ask me why.. i cant explain myself..

went for gym and swimming with gwen today.. it WAS SO fun!!!

i ran for about 5km on the treadmill.. i set the threadmill slightly inclined upwards so i felt like i was running 5km up mount faber.. so fun =)

the swimming complex at jurong east is really fun... gwen and i rented a lifesaver each so we were bobbing in the water all the time..

they have this pool called the "lazy river" where theres a current pushing u forward.. theres no need to swim.. just go with the flow..

so i floated around the place with my cute and fat lifesaver (resembles a giant strawberry doughnut to me cause i was really hungry just now)..

the "wave pool" was even more fun.. there was this really cold water spraying from the top and everyone was in the pool enjoying the refreshing cold shower while being hit by the gentle waves..

gym costs 2.50 and swimming costs 3.50 inclusive of my strawberry doughnut..

6 bucks an evening of fun.. plus having my best friend around to chit chat with..

its therapeutic =)
