listening to jay - ni ting de dao
should be sleeping now but im not feeling sleepy at all..
must have been sleeping too much for the past few days.. but at least cy and i finished up the ppt slides for the tutorial.. without meeting up.. muahaha.. big accomplishment to me.. considered that i missed school for 2 days and had no idea what we were supposed to do..
blindly stab.. =)

tried to help yj with his pattern the other day but erm.. i guess the session was not that productive because erm.. yours truly has forgotten the kroyo pattern..
very pai say lah.. i think i need to go brush up on taeguek 1 to 8 as well.. taught the kids to do a punch instead of a backfist for the ending part of taeguek 4 two weeks ago.. they actually came up to me to correct me yesterday..
super pai say.. wth..
and.. the first thing that tasneem said to me yesterday while i was taking the poom belts for the run was..
"madm last week your opponent shout louder than you..."
really felt like shouting in his ear after hearing that.. but then..
i calmly said "ya" and smiled..
but then he came up to me again after he sparred with guan ying to tell me that guan ying's kicks are very easy to counter..
argh.
ultimate hao lian-ness.
i happened to be watching their match.. so i pointed out his weak point to him.. crudely i think..
but i think whatever i said is good for him and i had to be crude so that he could understand the seriousness.. what i told him was..
you should never ever (ala a certain dr) make a half hearted attempt to do a backthrust.. never ever turn your back to your opponent and then decide that you dont want to execute the backthrust anymore.. you are in very very very very big trouble because..
if the opponent is fast enough.. a kick can land on your head and KO you immediately if you dont recover fast enough..
ya.
thats it.
i dont know if anyone got my point cos my illustration is a bit crappy but i think this is a very serious thing..
never face your back to your opponent for more than two seconds.. that is.. if you want to do a backthrust..
aim. turn. thrust. turn back. land properly. stare at your opponent again.
all that in two seconds.. thats what i think.. quoting no one..
you've got to be DAMN fast in order to use backthrust in sparring.. at least in my kind of weight category where everyone does things in a blink of an eye..
so personally.. yours truly here has never used backthrust in sparring before..
because im still too slow..

just wanted to blog a lil to kill some time but seems like it ended up being a ranting session again..
