Listening to 宫 OST

im supposed to work until 6 but i ended up going home at around 8.

2 hours man!! thats like 28 bucks if i can claim OT for it.

had to start doing everything from scratch because someone threw my QCs away by accident.

*bawls*

in my panic mode of working, i labelled the eppendorfs with COU instead of CORU. i worried for the entire time (that someone will use it for copper QC) until i remembered that copper urine is a send out test. dumb me.

i think i was never that stressed before while doing pipetting work. not even during electrophoresis.

all the dichloromethane's fault. i think im going to end up in cancer centre soon judging from the way i do things. and its so goddamn heavy that everything already starts to drip off the pipette soon as i lift it up from the bottle.

i burned two pairs of gloves, cracked one tube and inhaled lots and lots of the carcinogen in the process.

i am going to be very depressed if the QC and comparison study fail tml. because thatll mean that i have to redo the extraction. which means the doctor in cancer centre will see me earlier.

NO!!!!!!!!!

got to do calibration for cortisol tml because its due. i dont know why im so heng to be attached at a bench on a day that calibration needs to be done. wish me luck.

speaking of heng, C2O4 (some allergen) popped out today. thats requested like once in a blue moon and i heng heng have to kenna it when the C2O4 reagent database is missing on board.

WHY ME??????????????

a student asked me if i can give them their tutorial today. i came up with the cork excuse that im busy this week.

the truth is, i havent got their tutorial notes ready. lol.

i dont know how to give them their tutorial. i dont even know how to listen to one as a student without falling asleep.

another student asked me for tips on their FYP presentation tml. they actually remember that i got the prize for something during my year. how embarrassing -_-

in the end i only told them to make sure they understand every single thing that is in their presentation slides.

if i really want to say what i regard as 'tips', itll be to keep everything as simple as possible. do not ever attempt to put something impressive in the slides when you dont understand it. dump the redundant videos/pamphlets and seriously, UNDERSTAND EVERY SINGLE THING that you mention up there because you cant smoke OSK. dont even try to. its mission impossible.

seriously, from the bottom of my heart, i admit that i appreciate having the chance to learn how to run M bench (only 5 knows) and give students tutorials as a newbie in the lab.

nothing impressive but im contented and happy that i have the chance to do these things (or sai gang-s, depending on how you look at it). somehow reassures me that im not a 白痴.
