Chris Daughtry - Over You

aw man i love this man and his vocals. nice song.

im not sure if he would have done as well if he won american idol. might have been packaged into something that sells but would make him lose his character.

i seldom think highly of american singers. this is the second one after rob thomas.

i went for the assessment test yesterday and im glad i went cos it was an eye opener.

how often can you walk into that building without one sizzling gunshot through your forehead?

everyone carries a gun and a very very straight face in there. im sure it would be interesting to try and make one of them laugh. at the expense of your safety i guess haha.

***

the building itself is like something out of a tv set complete with the really high ceilings, lots of mirrors, empty entrance area except for one of them standing at the middle of the big big hall with a bag checking machine next to her (those scanning conveyor thingy at the airport).

and yes. she carries a gun too.

gun here, gun there, gun everywhere.

except for the people carrying out the assessment test. i would feel very intimidated if they did.

back to the building itself. i think the lift is way cool.

there are many lifts in the lobby with a huge keypad next to each bearing a lot of numbers.

i thought that was for some password verification or something until i read the instructions stuck beside it.

instructions for using the lift. how cool.

apparently u press for the level that you want to go to, the display will direct you to a particular lift and then you just step in and press door close.

the only buttons available inside the lift is the door open/close and the alarm button.

i find it damn fascinating.

definitely not a lift for the fickle minded.

the physical assessment was a piece of cake but i got really embarrassed at some point.

we had to step into a cubicle, strip and wait for the officers to examine us for any tattoos present.

and of course, my blue blacks attracted a lot of attention.

they started asking me about the blue blacks.

i appreciate them making small talk but i would prefer them doing that when im having my clothes on.

damn embarrassing especially so for me cos im a very self conscious person in the first place.

the psychometric tests had a lot of materials along with it so it had to be dragged in by using really really big luggages.

a very small sized and young guy pulled the luggage into the room (the luggage was up to his waist level).

i did a double take when i saw his rank.

its the highest rank possible for senior officers.

he introduced himself saying that he is from the psychology division or something like that.

i wonder what kind of a brain he has inside that head to perch himself on that rank.

the whole lot of officers present are much more older and menacing than that guy but hes the one that rules.

im. very. impressed.

***

im not waiting desperately for the letter or anything and its a nice feeling cos waiting for something is always a terrible experience.

if this fails i guess i know what to do already.

if i can get over this i think i will go all the way and see if i can get there eventually.

***

i slept very well yesterday night without having to think about making any decisions anymore.

feels so good.
