chem exam

listening to jay - niang zi

went through lab techniques paper this morning.. wait a moment.. let me say something first..

$%^%@##!@!!#

cant stand the bloody paper.. the MCQ was tough.. the essay was tough..

AND THE SHORT ANSWER QNS !

the format of the short answer qns is that there are 3 qns available and we have to attempt 2 of those.. the qn is usually split into parts.. like 1a and 1b..

the qns today were so fucking irritating..

she (our coordinator) purposely messed up all the question.. paired up topics that has got nothing to do with each other..

ended up knowing how to do only half of both question..

if only i could pair up 1b and 2a..

the MCQ was just as tough.. i dont understand why she likes to phrase the qns in the following format..

All of the following are true except...

Which of the following is false?

i really hate this kind of qns.. i have rephrased my question above so that its easier to comprehend.. the questions in the paper are nowhere as clear as that..

got to read the entire question carefully (plus all the choices) before i can come out with an answer..

and one of the questions has got no false answer even though they asked us to pick out one that is wrong.. wtf man..

after some thorough scutiny of every answer, there appears to be one option that is wrong.. if that is the correct answer.. i have to say that she (the setter) has got a very bad command of the language..

not that mine is very good..

but in exams.. lives are at stake.. who can tolerate bad english in this kind of situation?

if only they pay me money to set the mcq questions and give me the 20 marks for my effort.. *daydreams*

the essay qn was equally tough.. there was two qns and we had to choose one.. between immunoassay and options of lab automation..

people who saw me online yesterday should be able to see that my nick was "to hell with immunoassay"..

i really hate the entire antigen antibody bullshit..

but nevertheless i studied for the drug monitoring part and i was about to attempt the immunoassay qn..

but when reading the qn.. i realised that the qn is phrased in a very funny way where they already told you all the procedures..

to me.. this means that no marks will be given (even if you kneel down and grab her leg while begging her) for any procedures that you write because its already given..

i cant think of anything to write other than the equation and the graph..

im not going to attempt a 20 mark essay qn with only one equation and one graph in mind..

im still very very traumatised by the hepatitis qn that i attempted last year..

i wrote only half a page for a 20 mark qn..

ended up with a big fat C for my clinical chemistry.. even though i did pretty ok for my common test and my lab tests..

so i tried the lab automation question.. ended up with a 3 page essay..

its not a good thing.. because when i write a long essay.. i will miss out points here and there and all these will add up to a very significant number of marks gone..

oh man.. i really have a very bad feeling this time round..

got to face haematology and microbio next..

haematology notes are DAMN thick..

i dont know how im gonna survive..
