note: read previous entry first. this is a continuation.

i had to publish the previous post out first before i can stop crying and continue typing this.

channel U was showing sort of a documentary about 8 kids leading totally different lives and their goals in life. one of them is about a 14-year-old boy who battled leukaemia.

he is one of the sad cases that i was talking about. i suppose the documentary was filmed quite some time ago.

this boy had leukaemia since he was 12. he finally got a bone marrow transplant recently and recovered. he has just been discharged from the hospital for a few months.

he arrived at A&E a few days ago and passed away this morning.

his cause of death - road traffic accident.

he was so badly unjured that he couldnt even respond to things anymore but he was crying.

i felt so sad when i watched him on tv just now, talking about how painful the cancer treatment was.

and i couldnt stop crying when they showed him going back to school after stopping classes for one and a half years. his excitement on his "first day" of school. how he told his classmates "我回来了, 打完仗了".

his dream was to complete his o lvls, further his studies until he becomes a doctor one day.

***

successfully battled cancer after two years, only to be killed in a RTA.

the irony of life.

***

its cases like that that makes me realise how fortunate i am.

I was just talking about this to my friend this morning. It's really sad isn't it? But I guess when you are destined to go, no amount of intervention can stop that from happening.
